Our Spirit Flute 440 Hz Traditional Bass flute in the key of 'E' minor is handcrafted from Spanish Cedar, a softwood that gives the flute a rich bass voice, warm high notes, and the versatility to be played as a contemplative bass flute or a lead instrument.
The short mouthpiece is convenient for travel, it provides ample back-pressure to accentuate clarity on the higher register notes and minimizes moisture buildup.

It is a 6-hole flute. We cover the 3rd hole from the top of the flute (known as the 6th hole) with a leather tie, giving the option to use it as a 6-hole or a 5-hole flute.
