Our EarthTone© wooden flutes are unique because they use the “A” 432Hz frequency as the baseline for their tuning instead of the traditional “A” 440Hz. When comparing a 440Hz flute with a 432Hz flute, the difference between them is subtle to the ear but perceptibly different in feeling. While the benefits have not been scientifically proven, there is a growing community of musicians that believe the 432Hz tuning has a much more joyful uplifting effect on our spirit.
Flute Description
This EarthTone© flute is tuned in the key of “high C” minor. It is crafted from domestic walnut and sealed with non-toxic oils that give it a beautiful finish and add to its clear bright voice, especially on the high notes. An added advantage of hardwood flutes is that they are durable which makes them ideal for traveling or outdoor activities like hiking and backpacking.
It is engraved with a geometric pattern that represents the 432Hz frequency, is inlaid with Rainbow Moonstone cabochons, and the fetish symbolizes the circle of life.
This is a 6-hole flute, but we cover the 3rd hole down from the top of the flute(known as the 6th hole) with a removable leather tie to give you the option of playing it as a 6-hole flute or a 5-hole flute.
Because of its range of notes, it can also play a relative major diatonic scale in the key of "Eb”/”D#."
